fix(gcp/computeengine): follow every page of the billing SKU listing - #388
Conversation
…mmendations by page The real billing wrapper read one SKU page and dropped nextPageToken. The recommender loop compared a per-item counter to maxRecsPages, so more than 20 recommendations hard-errored. Request an explicit page size and cap items at pages*pageSize; follow nextPageToken for SKUs with a page cap. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
…n tests Add internal/skulist.All (Pages-based, page cap errors instead of returning a partial list) and use it from cloudsql, memorystore and cloudstorage. Cache the SKU catalog per client so pricing N recommendations lists it once. Test the cap, the requested PageSize, the exact-cap boundary and the cache. catalogServeruses itspageSizeargument to generate responses, but it ignores the request'spageSizequery parameter. The test can pass if.PageSize(skuPageSize)is removed or changed. Record and assert that each request sendspageSize=5000.Suggested fix

What
realBillingService.ListSKUsin Compute Engine read only the first catalog page. The live Compute Engine catalog (services/6F81-5844-456A) is 33,453 SKUs over 7 pages of 5000, so most SKUs, including the commitment SKUs, were never seen. It now goes through the sharedskulist.Allhelper (capskulist.DefaultMaxPages, error with no partial list on breach) with page size 5000.Stacked on go#364 (
fix/92-gcp-sql-memorystore-sku-pages-and-rec-cap, which addsproviders/gcp/internal/skulist); merge #364 first. This is the last call site, so it closes #92. Pricing that consumes the full catalog is go#381; the two are independent.Fail before, pass after
TestRealBillingService_ListSKUsFollowsEveryPageserves 33,453 SKUs over 7 pages from an httptest server. With the single-call implementation:After: 33,453 SKUs returned in 7 requests;
GOWORK=off go vet/test ./...inproviders/gcppasses. The test uses the literal service ID becausecomputeServiceIDlives in #381.Closes #92
