Turning on approved moderation hid every comment already on the board, because none of them had been reacted to. approved_since sets a cutoff: anything older stays visible, anything newer needs a reaction. blocked_words drops comments containing listed words. filter_profanity adds a built-in English list, off by default. Both match whole words with elongation and simple leetspeak folded in, so fuuuck and sh1t are caught while Scunthorpe, assets and cocktail are not.
