Need for Speed (2015) Controller Fix

Fixes controller issues in Need for Speed (2015) by replacing the game's PROFILEOPTIONS_profile configuration file.

Windows (EA App / Steam)

1. Close Need for Speed (2015) and the EA App completely.

2. Navigate to your settings folder:

   C:\Users\<NAME>\OneDrive\Documents\Need For Speed\settings
   

3. Open PROFILEOPTIONS_profile using Notepad (or any text editor).

4. Replace its entire contents with this.

5. Save the file and launch the game.

Linux (Steam + Proton)

• If you're playing through Steam Proton, the configuration file is typically located at:

  <SteamLibrary>/steamapps/compatdata/1262540/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Documents/Need For Speed/settings/
  

• Replace PROFILEOPTIONS_profile with the version from this repository, then launch the game.

Important

Ensure the game and its launcher (EA App or Steam) are completely closed before replacing the file.

Warning

Replacing PROFILEOPTIONS_profile will reset your in-game graphics settings. You'll need to re-configure them.
