This reverts commit 2417448. (our issue #926)
This issue is now being fixed in Umbraco for Umbraco v17.3.2 release

We might want to do an additional PR to remove any of our production logic from uSync as Umbraco will no longer create the files on disk that we might then have to remove. (we can assume that the files only get created when needed).
