Problem
ThinkRail still described itself as a "desktop-and-mobile client" (README, AGENTS.md, goal spec, landing-page chat demo) or a "worktree IDE" (landing page title/tagline, CLI startup banner). The recent blog posts already moved away from the GUI/client framing, and the new positioning is: ThinkRail is the agentic IDE that gets better every time you use it — learning your project through living specs today, and building its own capabilities tomorrow.
Approach
Adopt the new positioning in the product's primary self-descriptions only. The README carries the full statement (including the upcoming extension-support plans);
goal-and-requirements.mdandAGENTS.mdtake the present-tense part only, since the goal spec holds no roadmap. The thin-host / pi-owns-state description stays, because the agent context and specs depend on it.Intentionally unchanged: published blog posts, and the
/vibecoding/,/agentic-development/,/agentic-ide/routes, which run a deliberate control-vs-compounding wording test (/agentic-ide/already uses this wording).Changes
README.md: new two-paragraph positioning lead; the old thin-host sentence follows as "Under the hood…"; "ThinkRail is a Worktree IDE:" → "Every workspace is a git worktree:".AGENTS.md,goal-and-requirements.md: "desktop-and-mobile client" → "the agentic IDE that gets better every time you use it".apps/website/src/pages/index.astro:<title>,og:title, hero tagline, and chat-demo answer use the new wording.packages/shared/src/startupMark.ts: CLI banner "worktree IDE for pi" → "agentic IDE for pi"; the pinned output hash in its test is updated to match.Screenshots
Copy-only change: landing-page tagline/title text and one CLI banner line; no layout or styling changes.
