Preserve known timestamps in per-modality figures with missing values #155
Description
Owner: continuing team 7cb7e049e2c0 / runtime_consumer. Root approved this bounded follow-up while the separate #153 native course runs. This does not alter the accepted #154 source or its historical receiving.
Original public-helper reproduction on exact 8acb6a0: plot_series, plot_emg_channels and plot_imu_accel all receive 40 timestamps covering elapsed 0–1.95s, with session origin 0.1s and recorded gap 0.65–0.75s. All-missing values produce x limits 0.645–0.755s; missing leading/trailing values produce 0.4525–1.4975s. Finite controls produce the expected ordinary bounds −0.0975–2.0475s. Nine original saved/synthetic-loaded-array PNG renders completed; the actual all-missing IMU PNG was visually opened. All 1,396 canonical files and original saved JSON stayed exact. No acquisition, MCAP loading or numerical job was repeated.
Frozen contract before any product edit: each per-modality figure retains the full supplied timestamp extent independently of finite y values. Preserve its existing origin, x/y arrays, y limits, lines/isolated markers, color cycling, legends, gap geometry and ordinary Matplotlib margins/single-point handling. EMG retains its existing cap and stride; the axis may include the known final source timestamp even when stride omits that last rendered point. Do not add observations or line connections, mask raw gaps, invent data outside supplied timestamps, or change scientific outputs. Existing wider gap extents remain visible. Empty-input behavior is unchanged.
Scope reserved: plots/modality.py only for runtime; a new focused test/guide and additive PROGRESS. No shared style/dashboard, handlers/pipeline, numerical, loader, schema or workflow changes. Source base 8acb remains pinned, with any later #153 + #154 composition handled separately.
Fresh owner fence: all 14 open PR file lists checked, including both pages of PR #94; no modality.py overlap. Open matching issues #128/#136 are this team's completed prior plotting contributions. Main no-Actions rule remains in force: no PR/main/tag/dispatch triggers; any eventual publication is an independently reviewed inert source branch after a fresh trigger/ref audit.

Published the independently reviewed modality timeline correction as commit 5e0c42f on inert branch
estate/7cb7e049e2c0-modality-missing-time(tree 64de84d348c794761303ad6b82e09614692809d8, parent 8acb6a0). Remote commit/ref/tree and all four changed bodies were read back exactly; no Actions run was created.EMG, IMU and generic plots now retain the full known timestamp extent when values are missing. Observed values, gaps, colors, markers, y limits and data arrays are preserved. EMG intentionally uses the full source timestamp extent even when its existing display stride omits the last point; it does not draw omitted observations. Single-point margins remain Matplotlib's behavior.
Qualification: the same 40 focused cases reject the original in 28 cases and pass all 40 on the correction; 49 inherited point/origin cases also pass. Nine original/candidate saved-array figure pairs preserve all other recorded geometry, and all three ordinary finite-control PNG pairs are byte-identical. Root independently checked the retained images, and a peer independently verified the bounded source change, full 1394 unchanged parent leaves and exact additive progress. No new acquisition, scientific job or native course was run.
The complete immutable replay packet is assembled and verified (18,821,146 bytes, SHA-256 48728851b93da43f48b2452926e916f20ff77b8f61a96861bad359ce94c4175c; 59 manifest payloads). It reconstructs exact 1396/1398-file baseline/candidate source trees and retains all figure/test evidence. Independent delivery and authenticated download verification are in progress; the final link will be added separately.

The kit retains the original 28 failures / 12 passes, final 40 passes, separate 49 inherited passes, all nine before/after figure pairs and both independent source/image reviews. No numerical, render or native course was repeated during delivery. Two reviewer setup assumptions were recorded separately; they caused no packet or product change.
Product source remains exact commit 5e0c42f. This is the separate modality timeline correction; the pending EMG-stream/dashboard composition does not silently include it. The existing Notion ledger update is pending service recovery; source and complete Drive delivery are available.

The exact accepted modality correction is now composed with the received EMG/synchronization/ML source and delivered as a complete source/preparation kit.

The only other changes are one adoption guide and additive PROGRESS. All 1,444 other first-parent leaves/modes remain exact, with no removals. The full 116,818-byte current history prefix and exact 1,327-byte original modality suffix are retained. Shared style/types/dashboard dependencies and the original modality beforeimage match the accepted boundary.
Root independently recomputed every actual local blob/mode and the complete candidate Git tree. Publication readback matched all 1,449 leaves, all 268 directory trees including root, all five changed raw text bodies and both ordered parents. Commit-specific Actions readback was zero. No PR, main/tag update, dispatch or workflow edit was performed.

6f5c147c11ce567619685eda12988c92134dc3caaf97cff1127f89f640b15ed1. The complete Drive body was streamed back and authenticated. It includes the entire composed source, exact first-parent beforeimages, all identity/review/publication records, and standard-library verification/source preparation helpers.A fresh independent packet extraction passed ZIP verification and help/source preparation. All 1,449 composed and 1,446 first-parent files matched independently held Git blob and POSIX mode maps. Existing, inside-packet and dangling-link destinations were refused without replacement; all packet/prepared files were preserved. This was source-only receiving with zero product, test, plot or scientific execution.
The original 40 focused / 49 adjacent cases and nine PNG pairs remain historical portable qualification on
8acb6a09/5e0c42f0, with the unchanged original replay kit linked from the new guide. No combined behavioral or native course is claimed. EMG retains its stride and channel cap; including a known last timestamp omitted by display stride is intentional, so universal finite-figure byte identity is not claimed.
