Orchestrator commit 8d8a5e2a (deployed 2026-10-13) taught its Import step, the one that turns a file into Label Studio tasks, to read an upstream step's `output` with nothing configured, and added a built-in importer for Label Studio tasks JSON. A node author deciding port names needs to know that, so PROTOCOL section 8 now says it as BEHAVIOUR: the kinds read and their order, the "Upstream artifact kind" override, the one-file rule, and the file shape the built-in importer accepts. Also a routing-table pointer to it, and a provenance note: this one statement was held against the two orchestrator files at 8d8a5e2a (unchanged up to master 1561fa1a); nothing else was rechecked.
