To get the full stack running locally, you will need Java 17+, Node.js 18+, and Docker installed.

This project follows a classic Three-Tier Architecture, heavily influenced by Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles.
The Controller Layer handles incoming HTTP requests. It uses Data Transfer Objects (DTOs) to validate and map the incoming JSON payloads before passing them to the service layer. The Service Layer contains all the business logic. It is transactional and stateless. The Repository Layer interfaces with the PostgreSQL database using Spring Data JPA.
The security is powered by Spring Security 6. We implemented a stateless authentication system using JSON Web Tokens (JWT). When a user logs in, the server generates a token that is sent back to the client. The client stores this token and includes it in the Authorization header of subsequent requests. A custom filter intercepts every request, validates the token, and sets the user context.
The frontend is a single-page application (SPA) built with Vite. It uses React Router for navigation and Axios for making API calls. The state management is handled by React Context, ensuring that the user's authentication state is available globally without prop drilling.
