When a streamer experiences technical issues and the broadcast temporarily drops without Twitch splitting the session into separate VODs, the recorded video and Chat on Videos can become desynchronized. As a result, chat messages may appear too early or too late relative to what is happening in the VOD.
This add-on addresses that issue by allowing viewers to manually adjust the timing offset between VOD playback and the recorded chat. Positive or negative offsets can be applied until the messages align with the corresponding moments in the video. The selected offset is saved for each VOD, so synchronization is preserved when the video is opened again.
The add-on replaces the "Chat on Videos" label in the Twitch chat header with offset controls, including adjustment buttons and a field for entering the desired chat timing offset manually.
