What you get

• A thin bar on the edge of every page fills up as you scroll.
• Click the toolbar icon to see the exact percentage, or to turn the bar off on the site you are on.
• Pick the bar's color, background, thickness and side: top, bottom, left or right.
• Hide the bar on the sites you list, or show it only on them.
• Your settings and site list sync through your Firefox account.
• Scrolled collects no data.

Install

Get it from Firefox Add-ons. Updates arrive on their own that way.

Load it from source

Firefox keeps an add-on loaded this way only until it restarts.

1. Build it as described in Development.
2. Open about:debugging, click This Firefox, then Load Temporary Add-on…
3. Pick dist/manifest.json.

Development

You need Node 22 or newer and npm. npm run check also needs Bun.

npm run dev uses a separate Firefox profile, so yours stays untouched. Before opening a pull request, run the tests for the URL matching and settings logic:

npm run check

Build

npm ci && npm run build writes the add-on to dist/. The output is identical with Node 22.22 / npm 10.9 (Fedora Linux 44) and Node 24.21 / npm 11.21.
