MAVLink-M is a MAVLink dialect, but the site showed nothing of MAVLink itself. Put the MAVLink logo in the navbar in place of the MAVLink-M title, as mavlink.io does, with a white variant for the dark theme. The logo is then the home link's only content, so its alt text is "MAVLink-M", the name of the site it leads to. The SVG is the Dronecode asset with its viewBox cropped to the plane and the wordmark. At the navbar's 24px height, the "Micro Air Vehicle Communication Protocol" line under them would be unreadable, and the mavlink.io header leaves it out too. The dark variant fills the black parts white. No wire effect: only the documentation site changes. Validation: the site builds and the site check reports 0 errors. In the browser the logo shows in the navbar on the home page at 1440 px in light and on a docs page in dark, and the home link's accessible name is MAVLink-M. Drop "A public draft, open for feedback until it freezes in November 2026." from the home page tagline, which ran to four lines with it. The tagline now says what the dialect covers in one sentence. The Introduction, the Why page, the Status and Roadmap page and the README still say the spec is a public draft. No wire effect: only the documentation site changes. Validation: the site builds and the site check reports 0 errors, and the tagline fits on two lines at 1440 px. Assisted-by: Claude-Code:claude-opus-5-5 Signed-off-by: Ramon Roche <mrpollo@gmail.com>
The hero's Dronecode logo showed its light variant in both themes, so in dark mode its grey wordmark nearly vanished. Vue's scoped CSS compiles ":global(.dark) .light-only" to a bare ".dark", so the dark variant stayed hidden and the light one showed everywhere. A plain ".dark .light-only" scopes as intended, because Vue adds its attribute to the last selector only. No wire effect: only the documentation site changes. Validation: in the browser, dark mode now shows the dark variant and light mode the light one. Assisted-by: Claude-Code:claude-opus-5-5 Signed-off-by: Ramon Roche <mrpollo@gmail.com>
The default theme holds the hero heading to 576px, so "One open interface for military payloads and platforms" wrapped to three lines in a narrow column on wide screens. From 960px up, let it run to 880px and balance its lines, so it reads as two even lines. No wire effect: only the documentation site changes. Validation: the site builds and the site check reports 0 errors. In the browser the heading takes two lines at 960, 1024 and 1440 px, and three at 390 px, where the default width applies, with no sideways scroll. The site now carries the MAVLink logo in its navbar, in place of the MAVLink-M title, the way mavlink.io does, so it reads as part of the MAVLink family. The home page hero is also lighter: the tagline drops the public-draft sentence, which the Introduction, the Why page, the Status and Roadmap page and the README still carry, and the heading runs in two lines instead of three on screens 960px and wider.
Two details the diff doesn't show: the logo is the Dronecode SVG with its viewBox cropped above the "Micro Air Vehicle Communication Protocol" line, which is unreadable at the navbar's 24px height and which the mavlink.io header leaves out too; and its alt text is "MAVLink-M", since it is now the home link's only content.
It also fixes the hero's Dronecode logo, which showed its light variant in dark mode because Vue's scoped CSS compiled
:global(.dark) .light-onlyto a bare.dark.Wire impact: none, only the documentation site changes.
Built with the docs workflow's environment, the site check reports 0 errors. The navbar and hero were checked in the browser in light and dark, and at widths from 390 to 1440px with no sideways scroll.
