Fix library scan matching of Nintendo Switch dumps - #1241
A user reported that Library Import does not discover Switch games correctly. Typical dumps are flat files such as Game [0100F2C0115B6000][v0].nsp, with the update and each DLC as separate files. Three things went wrong:
Polluted IGDB query.cleanReleaseName kept the hex title id ([0100F2C0115B6000] is not a numeric or known tag), so the search was Game 0100F2C0115B6000 and nothing matched. .nsz/.xcz were not stripped either, and (UPD) stayed in the name.
No platform hint. Switch files were searched against all IGDB games.
Updates and DLC treated as unrelated games. Each file was its own candidate, categorized by name only (a "Complete Edition" base game read as DLC, an update read as main), and a DLC named differently from its base game ended up in Needs Review.
Changes
shared/title-utils.ts: strip Switch title ids, add nsz, xcz, upd to the release tags, and add parseSwitchTitleId() (base, update or DLC, plus a family key shared by a game, its update and its DLC).
server/library-scanner.ts:
searches IGDB with the Switch platform (130) first when a title id is present, falling back to an unfiltered search;
files with a title id get their category from it (main / update / dlc);
candidates are processed base first, and updates/DLC attach to the base game found in the same scan (or an already linked one) through the title id family;
nothing changes for non-Switch names.
Tests: scanner end to end on .nsp files (base, update, DLC attach to one game, platform hint, no Needs Review entry) and title utils.
No schema change, no client change. npm run check, eslint and the full Vitest run pass.
Not included
Still one candidate per top-level file, so a Switch DLC without a matching base file in the same root goes to Needs Review as before. May conflict textually with #1239 (same file, different area).
Strip Switch title ids and .nsz/.xcz from the IGDB query, prefer the Switch
platform, categorize base/update/DLC from the title id and attach updates and
DLC to the base game found in the same scan.

Walkthrough
The change adds Switch title-ID parsing and release-name cleanup. The scanner uses parsed IDs to categorize files and associate base games, updates, and DLC. Switch candidates use a platform-filtered IGDB search, followed by an unfiltered search when the filtered score is below the auto-match threshold.

Summary
Switch title metadata shared/title-utils.ts, shared/__tests__/title_utils.test.ts
Title utilities parse Switch title IDs into base, update, or DLC kinds and a shared family. Release-name cleanup removes title IDs and selected release markers. Tests cover parsing and cleanup.
Scanner matching and categorization server/library-scanner.ts, server/__tests__/library-scanner.test.ts
The scanner categorizes Switch files by title-ID kind and searches IGDB with a Switch platform hint and an unfiltered fallback. Tests cover flat dump matching and fallback behavior.
Switch family association server/library-scanner.ts, server/__tests__/library-scanner.test.ts
The scanner registers base-title families against matched games and attaches later update or DLC candidates from those families to the same game. Tests cover family association.

Avoid treating a matched DLC as the family's base game
When a root contains multiple DLC files without their base game, the first DLC that matches its own IGDB entry is stored as the target for the entire family. Every subsequent DLC then takes the familyGameId shortcut and is attached to that first DLC's game record without checking its own title. Previously, those files were matched independently or sent to review. Only establish a family-wide target when the resolved record represents the base game; a successful match for an individual DLC is not sufficient.
The reason will be displayed to describe this comment to others. Learn more.
Fixed in 93ee204: only a matched base game (or an already linked base) registers the family target, so a DLC matched on its own never captures the others.

Recognize underscore-delimited Switch title IDs
For names such as Hades_0100535012974800_v65536.nsp, this expression returns null because underscores are word characters and therefore do not create \b boundaries. Meanwhile, cleanReleaseName converts underscores to spaces and successfully cleans the same name to Hades. Consequently, the scanner can import the update but classify it as main, omit the Switch platform hint, and fail to associate differently named DLC with its base game. Normalize underscores before parsing, or use boundaries that accept these filename separators.
Fixes Nintendo Switch library scanning by stripping title ids/version tags from release names, adding a Switch platform hint to IGDB searches, and correctly categorizing/attaching updates and DLC to their base game via a shared title id family. Includes new unit and end-to-end tests covering the scanner and title-utils changes.

Extract the nested ternary into a helper.
SonarCloud flags the nested ternary at lines 358-360. The category rules now have three tiers: Switch title ID, parent directory, and download categorizer. A helper with early returns is easier to read and extend. It also clears the Sonar warning.

Scope the new release tags to Switch title handling.
cleanReleaseName applies upd, nsz, and xcz to every name. For example, the non-Switch filename Chrono.Trigger.NSZ.Edition.zip becomes Chrono Trigger Edition zip instead of Chrono Trigger NSZ Edition zip.
bestIgdbMatch passes that cleaned value to igdbClient.searchGames, and route grouping also uses it as the normalized key. A legitimate non-Switch title containing one of these tokens can therefore use the wrong lookup key and miss or select the wrong game.

🔴 High risk · Switch title-ID grouping and IGDB matching alter persistent game/file associations; a mistaken family match could attach updates or DLC to the wrong game.
Fixes library scan matching for Nintendo Switch dumps by stripping title ids and nsz/xcz/upd tags from names, searching IGDB with the Switch platform first, and attaching updates and DLC to their base game through a shared title id family. Platform search now falls back to an unfiltered search when results are weak, and family attaches no longer send redundant refreshes on rescan. No open issues found.
✅ 2 closed✅ Bug: Platform search skips fallback when it returns weak matches
📄 server/library-scanner.ts:269-272 bestIgdbMatch only falls back to the unfiltered search when the Switch-filtered search returns nothing (candidates.length === 0). igdbClient.searchGames filters by platform locally and keeps trying approaches until one returns a non-empty result. Its last approach is a partial-name match (name ~ *"..."*, sorted by rating), so when the real game has no Switch tag on IGDB (the 'platform list can lag' case the comment mentions), the filtered search usually still returns unrelated or sequel Switch titles. The fallback then never runs, the score stays below 0.85, and the dump goes to Needs Review even though the unfiltered search used before this PR would have auto-matched it. Fix: also fall back when the filtered best score is below AUTO_MATCH_THRESHOLD, and keep whichever result scores higher.
✅ Quality: Family attach sends a gameUpdated refresh on every rescan
📄 server/library-scanner.ts:633-638
Updates and DLC attached through switchFamilies are never stored as a game's libraryPath, so every later scan sends them down the family branch again. That branch always calls gamesChangedByScan.add(progress), even when assignFilesToGame adds nothing because the files are already linked. As a result, any rescan of a root holding Switch updates or DLC sends gameUpdated to every client, which then refetches its games list. The known-game branch avoids this with if (added > 0). Fix: use the same check here.
