Description

The 'Close All Tabs' option in the tab right-click menu doesn't work, seems like it's because the git tree can't be closed.

I think it's best to move the git tree back into the git page, there's no need to enforce fixed tags.

If you want git to stand out, you can move its default position to the top or set the git page as your homepage, and it won't occupy file open positions, causing blank git locations.

I think Figure 2 might look more suitable than Figure 1

This is intentional. There's a setting to move it back to the bottom tool window if that's what you prefer. See here

Even after turning off this setting, the Git tree still exists on the edit page, and closing all tabs still doesn't work.

I am trying to develop another window layout, placing the entire version control window in the central main window area and changing the editor window to a tool window to improve the layout issues.

that's currently not possible, but an interesting idea. i'll repurpose this issue as a feature request for such a setting. as for the original issue, that's tracked in #298
