Have you thought about tacking this onto lockpicking/opening/closing doors? I've seen a lot of people on both downstreams obfuscating then lockpicking through the police department plain as day, pretty hard to ignore a door unlocking, swinging open then shutting by itself. |
I could add that in, lockpicking is a definite that should be added imo given that is noisy and a complicated task. Door opening is sort of weird, I don't think on TT you roll for it unless you specifically make a lot of noise doing so? That part I'll think on; it might be overkill or it might be good. |
About The Pull Request
Step on a pair of glasses? A stick? Perhaps a banana peel? Well - you have to do a stealth check!
This PR adds it so stepping on a loud, noise-producing or otherwise visibly damaged object while in obfuscate you have to make a wits + stealth check with a difficulty of 5. This is done on TT when stepping on a squeaky floorboard or anything similar.
Similarly slipping has the same check but at a difficulty 9. A wet floor of banana peel might be your biggest enemy to stealth.
Based off the obfuscate changes in my prior PR but fixed the obfuscate rolling a bit.

Why It's Good For The Game
This makes obfuscate have proper checks offering a level of counterplay and environment impact to obfuscate. This should probably have more checks for it, such as other objects you can step on, but this is based on items I can think of seeing around the map that do.
Changelog
🆑
add: Adds a check roll for obfuscate loud-steps and slips.
