π Jules, reporting for duty! I'm here to lend a hand with this pull request. When you start a review, I'll add a π emoji to each comment to let you know I've read it. I'll focus on feedback directed at me and will do my best to stay out of conversations between you and other bots or reviewers to keep the noise down. I'll push a commit with your requested changes shortly after. Please note there might be a delay between these steps, but rest assured I'm on the job! π¨ Severity: CRITICAL
π‘ Vulnerability: The
levelerdb setupcommand accepts sensitive MySQL database credentials (password) as plaintext arguments. If a bot owner runs this command in a public channel, these credentials are leaked in the server's message history.π― Impact: Anyone with access to the channel could view the plaintext database password and potentially gain unauthorized access to the bot's backend database, compromising all leveling data.
π§ Fix: Enforced execution in Direct Messages by returning early
if ctx.guild:. If the command is accidentally run in a guild, it attempts to delete the message (await ctx.message.delete()) to remove the credentials from history and sends a warning to the user.β Verification: Review the
levelerdb_setupcommand inleveler/commands.pyto ensure theif ctx.guild:block is present and properly handles message deletion and early return.PR created automatically by Jules for task 16471679544435274264 started by @keough99
