Adds a check to `levelerdb_setup` to prevent the command from being executed in guild channels. If executed in a guild, the bot attempts to delete the message and instructs the user to run the command in Direct Messages, preventing sensitive database credentials from being leaked in the server history. π¨ Severity: CRITICAL
π‘ Vulnerability: The
levelerdb setupcommand accepted sensitive MySQL database credentials as plaintext arguments. If a user accidentally ran this command in a public server channel, those credentials would be exposed in the channel's message history.π― Impact: Anyone with access to the channel history could view the database credentials (host, username, password), leading to complete database compromise.
π§ Fix: Modified the
levelerdb_setupcommand to explicitly checkif ctx.guild:. If so, it attempts to delete the user's message immediately and returns an error instructing the user to run the command in Direct Messages.β Verification: Review the code to ensure the
if ctx.guild:block is present inlevelerdb_setup, correctly deletes the message, and returns an early error message.PR created automatically by Jules for task 10140114709980761337 started by @keough99
