Why this draft exists

The stale-branch audit found fix/input-assist-late-options-race with no pull request. It contains a focused component repair and regression for options that arrive after the field has already mounted, but the branch is now more than a thousand commits behind main.

Recovered scope

• updates InputAssistField.vue for late-loaded option state;
• adds the matching component regression.

Suggested disposition

Reproduce the race on current main, then port the smallest still-needed behavior and test. Do not merge the stale history directly. Close this draft as superseded only after the present component contract is verified.

This stale branch is more than a thousand commits behind and should not be merged wholesale. Closing explicitly as superseded; #3269 owns current-base qualification and review.
