Online Learning Courses – Master in Sustainability Transformations

Welcome to the online learning space of the Master's in Sustainability Transformations at the University of Bern.

This platform is hosted by the Centre for Development and Environment (CDE), a leading research centre for sustainable development. CDE combines research, education, and practice to co-create knowledge for just and sustainable transformations worldwide.

🎓 About the Master in Sustainability Transformations

The Master's in Sustainability Transformations equips students to respond to pressing global challenges and design pathways toward a sustainable future.

The programme provides:

  • Inter- and transdisciplinary knowledge for understanding complex sustainability challenges.
  • Target knowledge to envision alternative futures and assess their feasibility.
  • Transformation knowledge to initiate, lead, and evaluate change processes in science, policy, and practice.

Graduates are prepared to work in academia, public administration, NGOs, civil society, and the private sector, in Switzerland and internationally.

📚 About This Platform – Additional Attainments

At present, we provide additional attainments for new students of the Master's in Sustainability Transformations.

These courses are designed to:

  • Close knowledge gaps for students joining the programme from diverse academic backgrounds.
  • Provide introductory insights into key areas of sustainability research and practice.
