AMS Mapping Error

Tried on A1 and P1S. Able to connect, get status, everything works great. Can send prints, but if the filament in the slice is anything other than Generic PLA it will throw an ams mapping error right before cleaning the nozzle and printing. I have Bambu Matte, Bambu Basic, Generic PLA loaded in my printers. I can use any of them with if the file/plate I'm printing is Generic PLA. But if I try printing with the Bambu Matte filament with a Bambu Matte sliced plate, it throws the error. When I look at the AMS I get back from printer it says PLA Matte, but brand = "". any thoughts? Ideally it wouldn't check at all if the filaments match, but at least it should be able to print the Matte filament with the Matte plate and Basic with Basic etc..

does the printer even verify the filament is the same in the spool as the gcode? it looks like only plate 1 always prints with any filament and sometimes plate 5 does too. i've tried 4 files now. same on A1 (v1.04) and P1S (v1.07). should I update the firmware?

update the firmware to the latest on both A1 and P1. updated Bambu Studio to the latest and create a new test file. in dev mode. still same thing, sends the print fine but can't print unless its plate 1... does anyone ever print other plates?

Have you had a look at the start print 3mf method in the mqtt client. It accepts the plate number/path

Yes, I'm able to print the file if I use plate 1, but other plates don't work. On two of the files, for some reason plate 5 also works

something like this. the only time it won't work is on different plate numbers, even though all the files are working and work when sent to the printer etc. like below if I change plate_number to 1 it will print fine (all of these files are multiplate .gcode.3mf files exported from slice all. i can open them and see the plates and they are all as expected)

I replaced plate_number of 2 with 'Metadata/plate_1.gcode' and it still works, but if i try 'Metadata/plate_2.gcode' is still doesn't work. I unzipped the test file and Metadata/plate_2.gcode is indeed in there

I believe I solved it. The ams mapping is expecting an array the length of the number of filaments in the file.
Eg if you have 5 filaments in the file and plate 2 uses the 3rd filament, you need to have an array of (at least) length 5 (this might only have to be length 3 since the 3rd spots has what the printer wants), with the spool you want to use in the 3rd element of the array, say we want spool 1. Ams_arr = [9,9,1,9,9] where 9 can be anything bc it is not going to be used. [1,1,1,1,1] also works, also [1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1] works...
If your plate uses 3 filaments for example you need each spool number to be in the correct spot, like [9,0,2,1,9] (I think [9,0,2,1] works as well)

If anyone finds a solution where we don't need to know the number of filaments in the file please share

edit: actually, it looks like it prefers only up to the filaments used I think. so in our example above, [1,1,1] instead of [1,1,1,1,1,1]

edit2: use -1 for file filaments that aren't used, and array should be length of number of file filaments. Eg [-1,-1, 1, -1,-1] or [-1, 0,2,1, -1]
