What changes are you trying to make? (e.g. Adding or removing code, refactoring existing code, adding reports)

In this assignment I am trying to create a code that sorts and compares letters in two given words. Then, I am adding a section of code that changes outcomes based on cases.

What did you learn from the changes you have made?

I learned how to create a boolean variable in a str code, and also the importance of case senstivity. I struggled at first with the upper/lower cases, and realized that letters needed to be converted to lower case prior to sorting.

Was there another approach you were thinking about making? If so, what approach(es) were you thinking of?

For the second part of the assignment (True/False for case sensitivity) I first tried to create a condition for both true and false. This didn't work. I had to change the if statemenet for only false.

Were there any challenges? If so, what issue(s) did you face? How did you overcome it?

The biggest challenge was actually creating a pull request. I had accidentally created the assignment in the main branch of my cloned repository, and so I was not able to create a pull request. With the help of the TAs I restored the main branch to the DSI version of the python repository.

How were these changes tested?

I tested the changes to the code through trial and error.

A reference to a related issue in your repository (if applicable)
