Summary

  • Remove the Linux installer gtk-update-icon-cache operation that can fail in user installs.
  • Keep the desktop entry using the installed CargoNetSim icon path directly.

Context

The v0.0.1 Linux installer reports: Error during installation process (com.cargonet.simulator): Note: Could not update system icon cache. QtIFW treats the best-effort icon cache operation as a failed install operation.

Test plan

  • git diff --check
  • Confirmed there are no remaining gtk-update-icon-cache or related error-message references in src/installer/CMakeLists.txt
  • After merge, create a new patch release tag to rebuild the Linux installer
