The home card displayed “Add another device” and a > prompt but accepted neither mouse clicks nor text in that prompt. Clicking the card now opens pairing instructions with a real editable link field. Clicking the field positions its caret; typing or pasting stays in that field until Enter opens approval. The chat draft is preserved, and the form stays usable in short windows.

Validation:

• Focused mouse, typing, paste, approval, draft, overlay, and resize regressions pass.
• make build and make pr-ready pass.
• Actual terminal pairing journey passes: click the heading, click the field, paste the link, press Enter, compare the check number, and approve. All seven checks passed; recorded verification model: deepseek/deepseek-v4.1-flash.

The terminal journey covers pairing through approval and the fresh-install card. It does not run a chat/model turn or the later chat-transfer scenarios. Raw terminal captures remain local because the connected GitHub tools do not support attachment upload; validation results are included here.
