The Terminal's download table scrolls inside its own box - #48

The table of builds by OS and architecture is 455px wide. In a window narrower than about 650px it is wider than the column, and below about 550px it reaches past the window's right edge, where the body's overflow-x: hidden cuts it off: at 320px, the ARM 32-bit and ARM 64-bit columns and most of x86 64-bit. The table now sits in a box that scrolls sideways when the table does not fit, and changes nothing when it does: Quick start at 1280px renders pixel for pixel as before. Quick start's table of Terminal builds, by OS and architecture, is 455px wide. In a window narrower than about 650px it is wider than the column. Below about 550px it reaches past the window's right edge, where the body's
overflow-x: hiddencuts it off. At 320px, a desktop window at 400% zoom, the ARM 32-bit and ARM 64-bit columns and most of x86 64-bit could not be seen at all.The table now sits in a
<div class="scroll-x">, which scrolls sideways when the table does not fit and changes nothing when it does. A wrapper is used rather than restyling the<table>, because changing a table'sdisplaycan drop its table semantics for screen readers.Built locally and measured in headless Chromium:
At 320px Quick start still has two words reaching past the window,
AngouriMath.Terminal.exeandAngouriMath.Interactive. #47 wraps those. With #47 and this PR, Quick start fits at 320px and at 390px.🤖 Generated with Claude Code
