How to make it work with Uri images?

Hi Yuriy,

I'm desperatly trying to use FancyFrame with distant images with no success.
Could you provide any help to make it work with any type of ImageSource?

Hi @vinnie035.
This is a bit untypical task for this control. In most cases, it is just for rendering local images not for downloading/caching distant images. In this case, we need to utilize httpclient or use some other control like ffimageloading.

@yurkinh I understand what you mean, but if I want to use FancyFrame as a replacement for PancakeView, I need to be able to use any type of image, just like I would do with PancakeView. But I do keep in mind that Both plugins don't work the same way: PancakeView embeds the image as a content and clips its bounds if necessary, whereas FF redraw the image as part of the control.

Anyway, if ever you can add such a feature I would gladly use it instead of relying on multiple controls in my application (frame, ffimageloading, fancyframe...). One control to rule them all would be better... :)

I want to rewrite it with Maui graphics.
Also there is very interesting PoC of mixed controls made by jsuarezruiz which should allow to utilize clipping.
