When looking across our projects, we have a fairly disparate process when it comes to static assets and translations.

This ticket dates back to us having more Django-driven work that we're doing at deploy time.

Only in the JS apps. And they can probably hide those differences behind common interfaces.

And generally, we could make things less disparate, and factor out the differences into js libraries / yodeploy.

You don't feel like that's starting to bloat the purpose of yodeploy?

Two things:

1. This is work it's currently doing, just in the wrong place. Of course, it could give up the responsibility entirely, that's also OK.
2. It's already responsible for build time. That's what build-artifact does. I'd love to get rid of all our shitty shell build scripts, and move all the common behaviour somewhere central.
