Context. No way to reach users other than X + Discord. Privacy-respecting newsletter (no Mailchimp, no tracking pixels) enables mainnet-launch updates, security advisories, grant recipients.

Scope.

• Signup component in Footer + /newsletter page.
• Double opt-in.
• No third-party JS on any signup page.
• Provider chosen by contributor (Buttondown / Listmonk / Resend); justify choice in PR.

Acceptance.

• Zero third-party network requests on /newsletter (Playwright test fails on any cross-origin req)
• Double opt-in email within 60s
• Unsubscribe link works from every issue
