The DAS WG charter states that the group operates under the W3C Patent Policy (Version of 15 September 2020), while the WebApps WG is operating under the 2025 Patent Policy.
We can add a note in the SoTD for the period during which the two groups operate under different patent policies. The footnote could read along the lines of "At the time of the publication, the Device and Sensors Working Group still operates under the 15 September 2020 version of the W3C Patent Policy"
