KSLC - after adding all gates and having a working groundnet, found out the airport completely moved gates to two new terminals as of Oct. 27, 2020 and are demolishing the old ones (all those that had been added). So I've now "demolished the old gates and added new ones in approximate positions (due to no available photos of the new terminal areas as yet). OSM buildings from Worldbuild are currently wrong but I presume someone will eventually update the OSM data. There are several static planes that "should" be removed from the old terminal locations and on holding points of runways. I had read there would eventually be a checkbox to remove the type of static object that interferes with groundnet traffic. Is this still the case, does anyone know?

I should have another working groundnet "soon".

It looks like there is an update to the airport layout going on in WED so it may worth waiting for this to be available. Likely you ll be able to get you parkpos coordinates from it.

For statics, I have see no updates but I rarely go to the devel lists, this is where I saw it last.

In any case the discussion for the toggle is really only around people liking them or not when they are in the right position ... so any static blocking a runway or in the middle of a building you should ask to be removed. It is unlikely anyone will miss them or fight to keep them.

Thank you! I see what you found on the X-Plane Scenery Gateway. Perhaps the update will include accurate ramp starts, but I saw a recently done MSFS KSLC that indicated it was based on best guesses, so it may be a little early. In addition, the eastern part of Concourse A will not be completed for many months (if not years).

The placing of static objects and airport models reflect the airport as it was. It looked really nice with the groundnet I had developed which uses the now demolished gates. Unfortunately, it is out of date and I've deleted it. The static planes located at old gates should be removed as well as those at hold points. I'll try to contact the person who placed them and get permission to remove them. I think it is the same person I've contacted about another airport and he had no problem with necessary changes, so I don't expect a problem. He told me it's been quite awhile since he worked on FG, anyway.

If I get the groundnet working properly with "best guess" parking positions, I was thinking I could get things looking close to reality and update the groundnet once accurate information is available. It would be much better than the groundnet currently in FG which has only 16 parking positions with no groundnet nodes.

Makes sense.
At the end of the day, your existing groundnet could definitely stay in place until the terminals reconstruction is complete and a new airport layout can be created/deployed ; That wouldn't be the only out date layout we are dealing with :-)
