susynt-read

Package to prepare a working area for reading SusyNtuples.

#Prerequisites:

  • svn access and kerberos ticket (klist)
  • Run kinit beforehand if no kerberos ticket established (you will be asked for your CERN password during setup_area otherwise)
  • Access to cvmfs (for setting up an AnalysisRelease)

#Follow these commands to set up an area to read SusyNtuples.

setupATLAS # only if you don't have localSetupROOT
git clone https://github.com/susynt/susynt-read.git
cd susynt-read
git checkout <tag>
./bash/setup_area.sh [--dev] 2>&1 |tee setup_area.log
source bash/setup_release.sh

Where <tag> is your desired SusyNt tag that you want to read. The available tags are in the "releases" section at the top of this page or at releases.

  • setup_area checkouts out SusyNtuple as well as the packages that it depends on
  • setup_release sets up the needed ROOT version as well as well as RootCore and compiles all of the packages

To checkout the necessary packages used for the production nXXXX you must provide to the setup_area script the option --stable meaning that it will checkout the version of SusyNtuple, SUSYTools, etc... that were used at the time of producing the nXXXX susyNt.

For a list of available SusyNt datasets for the recent production:

source bash/available_datasets.sh

This will produce two filelists using dq2: one for monte-carlo and one for data.

To setup the correct version of ROOT on subseqent entries to you working directory, call:

source bash/setup_root.sh
