ANSI escape codes rendered as literal text in shell prompt after git pull #2

@andylbrummer

Description

@andylbrummer

After running git pull in shell mode, the prompt displays raw ANSI escape codes as literal text instead of rendering them as colored output. Example: the escape sequences show as literal characters like the prompt string showing escape codes instead of colors. Could be related to how the shell handles VT100 escape sequences after a subprocess exits.
