OSM Blocked

Hi,

OSM have blocked the app due to their new Tile Usage Policy. Are you able to have a look?
I personally don't use OSM for the images but it is also affecting the downloading of coast and inland water data

Yes sadly, OSM has either blocked the app, OR it looks like from reading the OSM Wiki that they have pulled all api's?
So I guess this is the end of FSET?
Unless OSM miraculously comes back to life!

Assuming OSM is gone for good, Is there any way FSET can add an option or work around to run it without using the OSM data? I.e just to generate the image bgl with no water mask. As at least that's something. As at present it's not possible to get past the failed OSm data download

Yes, just disable the automatic water masking. FSET also has the ability to draw masks if you supply an AreaBGL.kml file. Or just disable masking altogether in the FSEarthtiles.ini file.

I've disabled all masking and sadly it still attempts to download the OSM data which terminates the application.

Thanks! I have attached it as a text file. Really appreciate any help or advice! I have tried to make sure that masks are disabled everywhere in there, but something prompts it to contact the overpass server, which then jams

@stackTom Any updates on the problem? It's still not working.

For now, you can disable water masking by setting CreateWaterMaskBitmap = No and SkipAllWaterTiles = No in FSEarthTiles.ini. I'll have to find a new OSM server, as the previous overpass servers seem to be rejecting requests. Will test in coming days.
