(Uncaught TypeError: player.getNowPlayingItems is not a function). It is probably for live stream only?

Correct, "Now Playing" is for live streams only - eg if you provide an endpoint where the streams current song information is made available from.

We will look at:

a) renaming this functionality to be more self-explanatory
b) ensure these functions behave more gracefully when used outside of live-streams or when this information is not available
