Waveform looks smoothed out

I've been using the extension on 64 objects. I get the following result for an audio track of a song (without lyrics) :

I feel like there is some kind of smoothing, that there should far more peaks and valleys. I have no way of checking if I'm correct or not. I've only seen it used for approx 5 objects by youtubers so I have no reference.

Any input on that ? Does the extension do some kind of smoothing, maybe a limitation on this free version ? Or are my expectations wrong ?

Hey! Yes, unfortunately this is a weakness of the logarithmic frequency band distribution.

I wanted to keep this extension simple, but if you want more advanced features I've made a more comprehensive version of this addon, which is available in my paid audio visualizer course. In the addon you get there (the Audio Visualizer Assistant), you can choose between a variety of frequency band distributions. You can read more about this addon here.

My apologies, I hope it doesn't feel like I'm paywalling these features behind a paid course. I was thinking advanced stuff like custom frequency band distribution wouldn't be necessary to add to this simple audio visualizer extension, so that's why it's only available in the paid version of the addon.

Maybe adding this information somewhere visible would be a nice move. I'm not sure how to phrase it, maybe give a maximum objects count above which we begin to see some smoothness ? I spent some time with your extension thinking I would gain time on what I'm trying to achieve, but in the end I lost time. So clear informations on that part would be much appreciate by other users probably.
