PS2 support?

Seeing that it would run on PSP. Would it possible for PS2? What are the complications and what is required for this?

Yes — this looks technically possible, but PS2 is not a supported PocketJS target today and would require a new host rather than another PSP build option.

A PS2 port could reuse the framework, HostOps contract, pocketjs-core, DrawList/package formats, and software rasterizer. The first hard gate is compiling and linking the no_std Rust core correctly for the PS2’s R5900 through PS2SDK. After that, the host would still need QuickJS, lifecycle and pak loading, framebuffer presentation through gsKit, DualShock input, packaging, and validation in both PCSX2 and on real hardware. PS2SDK, gsKit, and AthenaEnv are encouraging feasibility references.

The most useful first contribution would be a small toolchain spike: link pocketjs-core into a PS2 ELF and render one known DrawList in PCSX2. A separate Pocket Vapor C/AOT target could reach a demo sooner, but it would not run existing PocketJS Guest apps unchanged.

I’ll keep this open as an exploratory platform request. Please let us know which path you are interested in and whether you have real PS2 hardware for final validation.
