What I have in mind
I have my best ideas in the car while I'm driving and currently use the ChatGPT app for ideation while driving but it lacks agentic workflows and access to my codespaces.
A driver could start or continue an agent conversation by voice and hear the reply through the car audio. The CarPlay screen would show simple conversation states and controls, without code browsing or text entry. I’d want it to build on an existing voice flow rather than introduce another one.
Current implementation
T3 Code has several open proposals for voice conversations: [#13168](#13168), [#11667](#11667), [#12034](#12034), and [#13214](#13214). There’s also a native SwiftUI client experiment in [#5178](#5178). From what I can tell, none of these adds a CarPlay conversation interface.
I’d like to check whether CarPlay is already being considered before I start exploring it.
The next step
If this sounds useful, could maintainers advise which voice flow and iOS client would make sense to build on? A small prototype could first test the CarPlay interface and audio behavior with a mocked session. A full feature would also depend on Apple approving T3 Code for the CarPlay conversational-app entitlement.
Would this be in scope, and would a small prototype be a useful next step?
