In response to nvm-windows issue #1368, we've configured the docs site for translation. The initial request was for Russian, but we are open to other translations as well. We are looking for contributors to maintain non-English documentation.

What we're looking for
We're looking for people who are proficient in English and another language, who also understand NVM for Windows well enough to convey the appropriate meaning to non-English speakers. We're not looking for people to just run the content through an AI agent.
AI Policy
This repo is configured to open an issue/PR (with Copilot) whenever the English version changes, for each translation. The Copilot PR is intended as a "first draft" (i.e. likely not 100% production-ready), saving time for translators. Maintainers can edit and merge PRs for the language(s) they support.
The use of our Copilot automation is limited by our copilot subscription, but it should be enough to minimize the tedious parts of translation for regular doc updates.
While we are not opposed to the use of AI, we're looking for contributors who will read the docs and provide meaningful edits/contributions. Docs are still designed for people.
English Docs
The English docs are the source of truth. I wrote most of the initial docs myself, for better or worse. @gbdrummer is leading the English docs efforts now and @mayorbyrne has already been helping us with editing. We're open to additional English doc maintainers as well.
Writers
You do not have to be a maintainer to contribute to the docs. NVM for Windows v2 is a very versatile version manager that is much deeper than it appears on the surface. We are open to PRs adding new meaningful guides (migrations, security, how-to, or anything else helpful to developers or agents).
