How to reuse the R scripts in this repo for other training sessions?

Question

The R scripts in this repo are excellent training materials! Are there any recommendations on how to reuse them in other training sessions, or is the approach described below acceptable?

We plan to use some of these scripts for a Fisheries Integrated Modeling System (FIMS) training on GCP workstations. I particularly appreciate that we can render the latest R code from this repo in the FIMS vignette directly, rather than saving a copy in our repo or creating our own version.

For anyone who wants to do the same with their vignettes (see rendered deep dive sessions in the FIMS vignette), here is the R code to make it possible.
