Add/Missing process for starting a new project?

Hi there,

While working with the Microsoft Business Process Catalogue (MBPC) and aligning it with our internal Process Framework, I encountered a surprising gap: there is no clearly defined process for starting a new project. The catalogue provides excellent coverage for project operations—covering moderation, billing, and change management—but the initial step of creating or initiating a project seems absent

One option could be:

Trigger:

Opportunity won or pre-sales project approved.

Actions:

• Create project in Dynamics 365 Project Operations or F&O.
• Assign roles (Project Manager, Account Owner).
• Link to WBS and governance templates.

Outputs:

• Project ID, governance checklist, initial budget.

I would suggest adding “Start Project” as a Level 3 process under Project to Profit in the catalogue.
