The installation script does not work as is. Need to look into whether this is a result of missing dependencies, improper versions of things, or something else.
I know I ran into a bunch of issues when I was first setting up my local deployment, as well as when I set up the API on the new test server, but can't remember what exactly I did to fix it and didn't write it down because I'm the worst so need to do some experimenting to figure it out again and fix things for posterity.
