• looking maybe for other color? (I don't know how much you are attached to these ^^)

• think WHITE -> I'm not trying to be racist there, but the white is the most important color in a design, and handling it right change the style

• for a simple version, you could go on: white, your dark blue duck, and anthracite grey

• Also on another point, think about button. On apps, we like to have shortcut to access something and not always go through the main menu.

  • could you have 3 button on the footer which will replace your burger menu? For eg: Liturgy, Nearby and Thoughts
  • the icon of Today could replace the burger
  • the icon info could be on the right top side

=> With that, you can get rid of the menu burger
