Is it possible to Sort 'Image List Selector' results?

Hey there, I've been working on this problem for a little while and I feel like there's probably an obvious or simple answer / limitation I'm missing.

I'd like to sort the image results that appear in the image suggester module differently; in this case by newest file created date or even modified date instead of the default which appears to be alphabetical. This would allow me to add an image to my vault and always have it be the first option when using imageListSuggester, currently I have to scroll past hundreds of photos to find the desired image at times.
