unable to with ssl connection

Hi guys,

help required,
i was not able to connect to mongo server with username, password and ssl connection

Hi,

Can you confirm that SSL is configured correctly on the server as per this guide ?

If so, can you then do a test to see if you are able to connect to it? Something like so:

            var conn = "mongodb://user:password@host/dbname?ssl=true";

            var client = new MongoClient(url);
            var server = client.GetServer();

            var db = server.GetDatabase(url.DatabaseName);

            Assert.True(db.CollectionExists("SomeCollection"), "Collection exists on server");

If you are using a self-signed cert, you may need to use the sslverifycertificate option.

As far as I can tell, there shouldn't be anything specific in MongoSimpleMembership that prevents you from connecting to a MongoDB behind SSL as it just passes the DB connection string specified in web.config directly to the Mongo C# driver.
