suppress_empty option doesn't always work

An issue in the upstream library we use for xml parsing prevents the suppress_empty option from correctly identifying empty nodes to suppress.

Once the issue is resolved and bundled into a release, we should adjust our dependency requirement and perform a release to ensure that the fix is distributed.

Do we have any kind of fix date for this problem? A customer reports that this is still not fixed in V7.3. Thanks
