I have developed a comprehensive set of features to modernize the gameplay:
Tactical Railgun System: Replaced the basic shooting mechanic with a 360-degree rotating turret that follows the cursor and features a recoil-ready design.
Targeting Guidance: Added a dotted guidance line device to help players predict missile trajectories.
Multi-Planet Selection: Added a menu to select between Earth, Mars, and Mercury, each with custom surface textures and atmospheric glows.
New Enemy Classes:
Alien UFOs: Multiple hit-points and unique movement.
High-Speed Rockets: Directional threats with particle exhaust trails.
Asteroids: Procedurally shaped spinning debris.
Pause/Resume Logic: Added a dedicated pause button (and 'P' key binding) for better game control.
Difficulty Scaling: Implemented Easy, Medium, and Hard modes that adjust spawn rates and enemy velocity.
Visual Polish: Added parallax background stars, screen shake on impact, and a particle explosion engine.
