Hangs on setting up networking

App starts, I press 'on' but won't continue past "setting up networking, please wait".

I am also getting this issue using Android 6.0 on a rooted Tecno W4.

Manually starting the hotspot via the android settings and starting Piratebox after that fixed it for me. On Android7 on Xiaomi Mi5
