Yes, we need a design for this. iOS custom keyboards bundle as extensions, enabling system-wide use after user selection in Settings. Android requires an InputMethodService for full system-wide access.

We can plan a compact layout mimicking system keyboards: alphanumeric keys, spacebar, delete, and prominent mic button (e.g., top-right). Include height adjustments, themes, and accessibility (VoiceOver). Reference HIG for iOS sizing and animations; Material Design for Android.
