State is lost when switching views

Flipping from list view to star view and vice-versa seems to clear all state and start from scratch. It would be nice if switching back and forth wouldn't lose data.

Care to look into the sources and contribute a patch? I don't really have time to do so at the moment.

I've merged in #41 , but it doesn't address the issue completely.
