Terminal flashing/flickering in Visual Studio integrated terminal

When using Copilot CLI in Visual Studio's integrated terminal, the display flashes/flickers in two scenarios:

1. When typing characters - the command prompt area (shift+tab mode indicator) flashes
2. When the agent is thinking/displaying text - the entire terminal flashes

Environment:

• Terminal: Visual Studio integrated terminal using Powershell 7
• OS: Windows

Expected behavior: Smooth rendering without flashing

Workaround: Using Windows Terminal or VS Code terminal instead, these work better, but I'd like to maintain my workflow within Visual Studio.
