Project entry page

Within the issue it is requested to provide a more official project entry page with relevant links and indications to the project itself (something like the one available for GeoNode would be ideal). Github Pages can also be used for this purpose. Also a definition of needed steps to keep the entry page updated for newer versions of the product need to be included (preferably in an automated way using actions currently available).

I'd suggest, without any indication, to create a simplified version of this site.
In order to not impact the release process, I'd suggest to auto-discovery latest version from github via js if possible (maybe stable-version can be guessed querying the latest bracnh with shape 20NN.NN.xx (or avoided for the moement.

Gallery for later.
The rest is more or less the same, with a catch phrase.
