AAKAR 2025 Code of Conduct

Our Pledge

We, as members, contributors, and leaders of the AAKAR 2025 community, pledge to provide a harassment-free and welcoming experience for everyone. We are committed to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and healthy environment for individuals regardless of:

  • Age
  • Body size
  • Visible or invisible disabilities
  • Ethnicity
  • Sex characteristics
  • Gender identity and expression
  • Level of experience
  • Education
  • Socio-economic status
  • Nationality
  • Personal appearance
  • Race
  • Religion
  • Sexual identity and orientation

We pledge to act and interact in ways that promote a welcoming, diverse, inclusive, and positive community.


Our Standards

Examples of behavior that contribute to a positive environment include:

  • Demonstrating empathy and kindness
  • Being respectful of differing opinions and experiences
  • Giving and accepting constructive feedback
  • Taking responsibility for mistakes and learning from them
  • Prioritizing the well-being of the community

Examples of unacceptable behavior include:

  • The use of sexualized language or imagery
  • Trolling, insults, or derogatory comments
  • Harassment or intimidation (public or private)
  • Publishing others' private information without permission
  • Any inappropriate behavior in a professional setting

Enforcement Responsibilities

AAKAR 2025 organizers and community leaders are responsible for enforcing this Code of Conduct and will:

  • Uphold the standards of this code
  • Take appropriate action in response to misconduct
  • Edit, remove, or reject content that violates this Code
  • Communicate enforcement decisions clearly and respectfully

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to all official AAKAR 2025 spaces, including but not limited to:

  • GitHub repositories (issues, pull requests, discussions)
  • Discord, social media channels, and official emails
  • Online or in-person events and activities

It also applies when individuals are representing AAKAR 2025 in any capacity.


Enforcement

Violations may be reported by contacting the organizing team. All reports will be:

  • Reviewed and investigated promptly
  • Kept confidential, where possible
  • Addressed fairly and consistently

Enforcement Guidelines

Community leaders will follow these guidelines when determining consequences:

1. Correction

  • Impact: Inappropriate language or unprofessional behavior
  • Consequence: Private warning, possibly with a public apology request

2. Warning

  • Impact: Serious or repeated misconduct
  • Consequence: Formal warning with outlined future consequences

3. Temporary Ban

  • Impact: Sustained inappropriate behavior
  • Consequence: Temporary exclusion from community spaces

4. Permanent Ban

  • Impact: Severe or repeated violations (e.g., harassment)
  • Consequence: Permanent ban from all AAKAR 2025 activities and spaces
